Regular Season Round 40: Nogales - Obregon 76-79

A very interesting game took place in Nogales. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (13-24) to eighth ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (15-20) 79-76 on Tuesday evening. It was a very good performance for American forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Landon Atterberry (198, college: LIU Brooklyn) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St., agency: DTMones) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian-Jamaican swingman Weyinmi Rose (196-86, college: Providence) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Fuerza Guinda Nogales. Four Fuerza Guinda Nogales players scored in double figures. Fuerza Guinda Nogales' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon maintains eighth position with 15-20 record. Fuerza Guinda Nogales at the other side keep the tenth place with 24 games lost. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon will have a break next round. Fuerza Guinda Nogales will play again at home against Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
