Regular Season Round 41: Navolato - Hermosillo 83-70

Top ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (27-11) recorded its eleventh loss on the court of eleventh ranked Garra Canera de Navolato on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Garra Canera de Navolato 83-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Tamir Jackson (190-90, college: Rice) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Alfonzo McKinnie (203, college: Green Bay) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Juan Manuel Esteva (196-83) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Garra Canera de Navolato maintains eleventh place with 13-23 record. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top position with 11 games lost. Garra Canera de Navolato are looking forward to face higher ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Pioneros Los Mochis (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
