Regular Season Round 41: Los Mochis - Mazatlan 80-76

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (24-12) against ninth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (15-21) on Wednesday night. Visiting Lobos UAD Mazatlan was defeated by Pioneros Los Mochis in a tough game in Los Mochis 76-80. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Lobos UAD Mazatlan was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Brandon Morris (183-91, college: Houston) contributed with 9 points and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) answered with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Canadian forward Marvell Waithe (205-87, college: Arkansas) added 16 points in the effort for Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Four Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pioneros Los Mochis moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Obregon. Lobos UAD Mazatlan at the other side keeps the second position with 12 games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis will play against league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will play against Vaqueros in Agua Prieta and hopes to get back on the winning track.
