Regular Season Round 42: Hermosillo - Los Mochis 91-94

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (28-12) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (16-22) 94-91. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Rayos de Hermosillo. Five Pioneros Los Mochis and four Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pioneros Los Mochis maintains eighth position with 16-22 record, which they share with Obregon. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top place with 12 games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rayos de Hermosillo will play again at home against Pioneros Los Mochis and is hoping to win this game.
