Regular Season Round 11: Norths Bears - Hills H. 73-51

Not a big story in a game in Crows Nest where bottom-ranked Hills Hornets (0-7) were outplayed by seventh ranked North Bears (4-4) 73-51 on Saturday. North Bears forced 24 Hills Hornets turnovers and outrebounded them 60-32 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Kallie Hovatter (175-89, college: Elon) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Kathryn Rendall chipped in 9 points and 17 rebounds. Belinda Suitor produced 10 points and 5 rebounds and Andrea Roditis added 12 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. North Bears moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Hills Hornets still closes the standings with seven games lost. North Bears will face league's second-placed Spireds in Hornsby in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hills Hornets will play at home against Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (#7) and hope to get finally their first victory.
