No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Flames (10-6) crushed 7th ranked Hawks (7-8) in Rockingham 101-81 on Saturday. Flames forced 23 Hawks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Cooper Land (205-88, college: Wright St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Chudier Pal (205-91, college: NC-Asheville) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Flames players scored in double figures. American center Brian Carlwell (211-87, college: San Diego St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 23 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Matt Sellers (208-91, college: Wyoming) added 19 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Hawks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames maintains fifth position in League with 10-6 record. Loser Hawks dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. Flames will face Redbacks (#7) in Northbridge in the next round. Hawks will play at home against Tigers and hope to win that game.
