Very important is a road loss of second ranked Bendigo Braves (9-4) against seventh ranked Frankston Blues (3-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Bendigo Braves were defeated by Frankston Blues in a tough game in Seaford 51-58. The best player for the winners was naturalized American swingman Bennie Lewis (203-87, college: Benedict) who scored 13 points and 4 assists. Forward Joshua Oswald (201-94, college: Emporia St.) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. Lewis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-88, college: Bellarmine) who recorded 21 points and his fellow American import forward Damian Johnson (201-87, college: Minnesota, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Bendigo Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Frankston Blues maintains seventh position in League with 3-9 record. Bendigo Braves at the other side keep the second place with four games lost. Frankston Blues' next round opponent will be higher ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (#3) in Ulverstone and it may be quite challenging game.
