Very predictable result when second ranked Knox Raiders (10-1) won against 9th ranked Devils (4-10) in Wantirna South 88-72 on Saturday. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Charles Polk (200-84, college: Butler) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Forward Fred Hunter (196-89, college: Nicholls St., agency: SDJ Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) added 17 points in the effort for Devils. Knox Raiders maintains second position in League with 10-1 record having just one point less than leader Geelong S. Loser Devils keep the ninth place with ten games lost. Knox Raiders will face Diamond Valley Eagles (#6) in Greensborough in the next round. Devils will play at home against Bulleen Boomers and hope to win that game.
