Regular Season Round 12: Sandringham S. - Albury W.B. 74-95

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bandits (6-7) crushed 6th ranked Sabres (4-7) in Cheltenham 95-74 on Saturday. Bandits dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Sabres' 42. Bandits had a 34-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Greg Mays (203-93, college: Green Bay, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!). Point guard Deba George (183-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists for the winners. American forward Aquill Baynard (203, college: Philander Smith) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Alister Macdonald (186-92) added 22 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in the effort for Sabres. Sabres' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Bandits went down to fifth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Sabres keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Bandits will have a break next round. Sabres will play again on the road against Bandits (#5) in Albury and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
