Oberwart rallied past Wels to open 2-0 lead in the championship series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-13. But Raiffeisen Wels won second period 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 28 personal fouls committed by Raiffeisen Wels helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
