Regular Season Round 26: Halcones - Cimarrones 85-80

The most important game in the last round took place in Cucuta between second ranked Cimarrones (17-11) and fifth ranked Halcones (14-14) on Saturday night. Cimarrones were defeated by Halcones in a tough game on the road 80-85. Halcones looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Sean Harris (201, college: Utah St.) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Halcones' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Tyquane Goard (201-93, college: Marshall) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Cesar Cortes (200-81) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Halcones have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Cimarrones lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with 11 games lost.
