Finals Game 5: Zalgiris - Neptunas 97-70

Zalgiris earned the sixth consecutive LKL title. They eased past Neptunas in Kaunas to conquer the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris. Neptunas managed to win third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zalgiris dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas' 22. American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 assists. The former international Paulius Jankunas (205-84) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Zalgiris players scored in double figures. American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Stealth Sport) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
