Regular Season Round 18: Albury LB - Hobart C. 79-97

There was a minor upset in Albury where 6th ranked Lady Bandits (3-15) were defeated by sixth ranked Hobart Chargers (6-10) 97-79 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American swingman Kathleen Scheer (187-89, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. The other American import point guard Chelsie Schweers (170-89, college: Chris.Newport) chipped in 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Alex Ciabatonni who recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Rebecca Guglielmino added 17 points respectively. Four Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. Hobart Chargers moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Lady Bandits keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Hobart Chargers will face league's leader Spectres in East Burwood in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lady Bandits will play on the road against Nationals (#7) in Belconnen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
