No shocking result in a game when first ranked Tornadoes (15-3) defeated at home 4th ranked Lady Braves (7-9) 74-70 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Mikaela Ruef (190-90, college: Stanford) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Alex Wilson (174-94) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) who recorded 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Tornadoes maintains first position in League with 15-3 record. Loser Lady Braves keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Tornadoes will face Geelong Supercats (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lady Braves will play against the league's second-placed Lady Cobras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
