Regular Season Round 18: Brisbane C. - SC Rip 82-51

Date: July 16, 2016
Very predictable result in Brisbane where seventh ranked Capitals (7-8) outscored 14th ranked SC Rip (2-10) 82-51 on Saturday. Capitals forced 29 SC Rip turnovers. The best player for the winners was Mikaela King (-83) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Amy Lewis (175-86, college: Troy) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five Capitals players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kristen Langhorn (179-86) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and Ondrea Beasley added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capitals moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser SC Rip dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Capitals will face Clippers (#11) in Cotton Tree in the next round where they are favorite. SC Rip will play at home against Rollers and hope to win that game.
