Very predictable result in Eltham where sixth ranked Boomers (11-9) beat 11th ranked Wildcats (2-17) 85-68 on Sunday. Boomers made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Wildcats turnovers and outrebounded them 41-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Danish guard Camilla Blands (180-85, college: Alabama) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Morgan Bailey (188, college: BYU) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jacqueline Kitto (174-90) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-93) added 17 points and 5 steals respectively. Boomers maintains sixth position in League with 11-9 record. Loser Wildcats keep the eleventh place with 17 games lost. Boomers will face higher ranked Falcons (#5) in Mount Waverley in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Wildcats will play on the road against Tigers (#10) in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
