There was no surprise in Adelaide where 8th ranked Mavericks (3-14) were crushed by second ranked Rockets (13-5) 104-61 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Opal Mader who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Shannon Mckay (-90) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Brooke Basham who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and Shayde Quintrell added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rockets maintains second position in League with 13-5 record having just one point less than leader Nunawading S. Loser Mavericks keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. Rockets will face Sabres (#6) in Pasadena in the next round. Mavericks will play at home against Panthers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
