Everything went according to plan in Pasadena where fourth ranked Sturt Sabres (12-6) outscored 7th ranked North Adelaide Rockets (6-12) 84-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sturt Sabres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jack Turnbull (193, college: Ridgewater CC) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and Jacob Rigoni who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Luke Mapunda (194-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Brad Jonnek scored 4 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sturt Sabres maintains fourth position in League with 12-6 record. Loser North Adelaide Rockets keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Sturt Sabres will face South Adelaide Panthers (#8) in Park Holme in the next round. North Adelaide Rockets will play at home against West Adelaide Bearcats and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
