Very important is a home loss of first ranked Spectres (13-5) against fifth ranked Hobart Chargers (7-11) on Sunday night. Host Spectres were crushed by Hobart Chargers in East Burwood 85-55. Hobart Chargers outrebounded Spectres 48-33 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Kathleen Scheer (187-89, college: Duke) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Chelsie Schweers (170-89, college: Chris.Newport) helped adding 28 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hobart Chargers players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international swingman Hanna Zavecz (186-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Emilee Harmon (188, college: Ohio St.) scored 12 points. Spectres' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hobart Chargers maintains fifth place in League with 7-11 record. Loser Spectres still keep top position with five games lost. Hobart Chargers will meet BA CoE (#6) in the next round. Spectres will play against the league's leader Lady Cobras (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
