The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bendigo Braves as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Bendigo Braves defeated 6th ranked Kilsyth Cobras at home 82-71. Bendigo Braves players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-88, college: Bellarmine) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!) and 8 assists and forward Chris Hogan (202-83) supported him with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds by center Timothy Lang (206-85, college: Stetson) did not help to save the game for Kilsyth Cobras. Guard Joel Naburgs (193-90, college: Stetson) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Kilsyth Cobras at the other side keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will play next round against strong Spectres trying to get back on the winning streak. Bendigo Braves will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Sabres at Cheltenham.
