Regular Season Round 20: Knox R. - Diamond V.E. 85-77

Date: July 24, 2016
No shocking result in a game in Wantirna South where third ranked Knox Raiders (16-5) won against 8th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (8-12) 85-77 on Sunday. Knox Raiders forced 20 Diamond Valley Eagles turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Charles Polk (200-84, college: Butler) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) who added 26 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American forward Ryen Vilmont (196-92, college: Franklin Pierce, agency: Two Points) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Blacio Owili scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Diamond Valley Eagles' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Knox Raiders maintains third position in League with 16-5 record having just four point less than leader Geelong S. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles keep the eighth place with 12 games lost. Knox Raiders will face league's leader Stingrays in Geelong in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Diamond Valley Eagles will play at home against Hume City Broncos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
