No shocking result in a game in Bendigo where second ranked Lady Cobras (15-2) defeated 4th placed Lady Braves (8-10) 79-71 on Sunday. Lady Cobras made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) fired 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Lady Cobras players scored in double figures. Forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) added 23 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Lady Braves' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lady Cobras keep a position of League leader. Loser Lady Braves keep the fourth place with ten games lost. Lady Cobras will face league's leader Spectres in East Burwood in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lady Braves will play at home against Sabres and hope to win that game.
