Regular Season Round 4: Halcones - Panteras 55-79

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Halcones (2-2) in Panama City on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Panteras (3-1) 79-55. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Panteras dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Halcones' 18. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Brad Da Costa (183-89) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 assists and 5 steals and guard Luis Dinolis (183, college: Broward CC) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and forward Abid Oses (198-95, college: Antelope Valley CC) scored 12 points. Halcones' coach J Munoiz gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Panteras have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Halcones at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Panteras are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Caballos (#6) in Aguadulce in the next round where they are favorite. Halcones will play on the road against Correcaminos (#4) in Colon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
