Regular Season Round 4: Aguilas - Correcaminos 78-90

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Aguilas (2-2) against fifth ranked Correcaminos (2-2) on Sunday night. Host Aguilas were defeated by Correcaminos in Panama City 90-78. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Aguilas' 34. The winners were led by power forward Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and the former international swingman Isaac St.Rose (190-83, college: John Brown) supported him with 24 points and 5 assists. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 4 assists by the former international forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) did not help to save the game for Aguilas. Swingman Jonathan King (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) added 19 points for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Aguilas. Correcaminos will play against league's second-placed Halcones in Panama City in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aguilas will play on the road against Toros in David and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
