Regular Season Round 12: L.Sorocaba - XV Piracicaba 76-74

A very interesting game took place in Sorocabana. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked XV Piracicaba (2-10) to ninth ranked Liga Sorocaba (3-9) 76-74 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for point guard Patrick Vieira (186-93) who led his team to a victory with 18 points. Guard Victor De Gusmao (188-93) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Guard Will Evangelista (185-84) replied with 18 points and naturalized Lithuanian center Douglas Gorauskas (205-83) added 10 points in the effort for XV Piracicaba. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Liga Sorocaba moved-up to seventh place, which they share with America. XV Piracicaba lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Liga Sorocaba's next round opponent will be higher ranked Vivo/Franca (#3) in Sao Paulo and it may be quite challenging game. XV Piracicaba will play on the road against the league's second-placed Pinheiros (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
