Regular Season Round 6: Aguilas - Panteras 51-75

Date: September 4, 2016
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Panama City: Panteras (#1) and Aguilas (#3). Aguilas were smashed at home by 24 points 51-75 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Panteras dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Aguilas' 24. Swingman Luis Dinolis (185-93, college: Broward CC) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Daniel King (203-87, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Puerto Rican Nate Butler Lind (198-89, college: TCU) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Jonathan King (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panteras (5-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Aguilas at the other side keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Correcaminos. Panteras will play against Correcaminos (#3) in Colon in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aguilas will play at home against Caballos and hope to get back on the winning track.
