Regular Season Round 3: Waregem - Melsele 89-79

Very expected game when Melsele (0-2) was defeated on the road by Waregem (3-0) 89-79 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Brecht Guillemyn (192-87) who scored 25 points. Center Bart Willy Samaey (199-87) chipped in 12 points. Waregem's coach Olivier Foucart allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Dutch power forward Patrick Hilliman (206-82, college: High Point) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Ivan Perez (185-90) added 16 points respectively. Waregem will meet Oxaco in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Melsele will play against Ieper (#5) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
