Regular Season Round 1: SIG - Dunkerque 80-65

An interesting game took place in llkirch-Graff. where Dunkerque (0-1) was upset on the court of SIG (1-0) 80-65. The game without a history. SIG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkerque's 26. SIG players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Darline NSoki (182-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Kathleen Bourdin (162-87) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. SIG's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and Latvian center Aija Brumermane (192-86) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Dunkerque. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SIG's next round opponent will be Arras (#8) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Dunkerque will play against Roche and hope to win that game.
