Regular Season Round 17: Paulistano - Osasco B. 66-74

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Sao Paolo where fifth ranked Osasco B. (10-7) beat 4th placed Paulistano (10-7) 74-66 on Wednesday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But Paulistano won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Luiz Paulo Dos Santos (206-89, college: Slippery Rock) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Luis Gustavo de Oliveira (190-91) chipped in 17 points. Four Osasco B. players scored in double figures. Point guard Arthur Pecos (183-95) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Lucas Dias Silva (209-95) added 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Paulistano's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Osasco B. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Paulistano. Osasco B. will face XV Piracicaba (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Paulistano will play against Vivo/Franca (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
