Regular Season Round 1: Toyota Alvark - Ryukyu GK 80-75

Not a big story in a game in Tokyo where Ryukyu GK (0-2) was defeated by Toyota Alvark (2-0) 80-75 on Thursday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ryukyu GK trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 24-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-80 at the end of the game. Toyota Alvark forced 20 Ryukyu GK turnovers. International power forward Joji Takeuchi (207-85) fired 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners.
