Important game to mention about took place in Buenos Aires. Boca Juniors (1-0) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging Obras Basket (0-1) 82-80 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 27-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Obras Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Lucas Perez (185-87) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists for the winners. Lucas Gargallo (196-95) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Dennis Horner (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Walter Herrmann (206-79) added 24 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Five Boca Juniors and four Obras Basket players scored in double figures. Obras Basket's coach Nicolas Casalanguida tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Boca Juniors will face Quilmes MP (#9) in Mar del Plata in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Obras Basket will play on the road against San Lorenzo in Almagra and hope to win that game.
