Regular Season Round 1: Pogon Prudnik - Rosa II Radom 75-70

Pogon Prudnik used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Radom 75-70 on Saturday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Pogon Prudnik forced 21 Rosa II Radom turnovers. Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 21 points and 4 steals for the winners and center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-90) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side naturalized Bosnian power forward Seid Hajric (204-83) responded with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Michal Sadlo (205-94) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rosa II Radom's coach Karol Gutkowski tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pogon Prudnik will face Znicz Basket (#16) in Pruszkow in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rosa II Radom will play on the road against Polonia Leszno (#5) and hope to win that game.
