Regular Season Round 1: Villarrobledo - Real Canoe 59-75

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Villarrobledo (0-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Real Canoe (1-0) 75-59. The game was mostly controlled by Real Canoe. Villarrobledo managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Ignacio Fort (200-83) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ander Martinez (199-95, agency: Duran International) chipped in 17 points. Real Canoe's coach Miguel Angel Aranzabal used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Artur Alaminos (205-91) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese forward Bruno Diatta (208-96) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Real Canoe is looking forward to face Casvi in Villaviciosa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Villarrobledo will play on the road against Rivas (#14) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
