Hokkaido L. (1-1) recorded a loss on the court of Osaka Evessa. Visitors were defeated by Osaka Evessa 64-53. The game was mostly controlled by Osaka Evessa. Hokkaido L. was better in second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hokkaido L. to just 4 points in first quarter. Osaka Evessa's coach Dai Oketani used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 10 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Takehiko Orimo (190-70) added 14 points in the effort for Hokkaido L.Osaka Evessa will again play against Hokkaido L. (#4) in Saporro in the next round. Hokkaido L. will have a break next round.
