Regular Season Round 2: Shinshu BW - Bambitious Nara 74-96

There was no surprise in Nagano where Shinshu BW (0-2) was crushed by Bambitious Nara (2-0) 96-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bambitious Nara. Shinshu BW was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bambitious Nara shot 61.1 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Higuchi Mato (177-92) chipped in 16 points. Five Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. American forward Terrance Shannon (203-90, college: VCU) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bambitious Nara will face Tokyo Excel. at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shinshu BW will play against Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
