Regular Season Round 1: Rosa III Radom - Shmoolky W-wa 60-69

Rosa III Radom was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Warszawa 69-60 on Sunday night. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Rosa III Radom won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shmoolky W-wa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Rosa III Radom's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shmoolky W-wa made 9 blocks. It was a very good performance for Daniel Olszewski (200-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guard Roman Janik (187-95) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Shmoolky W-wa players scored in double figures. Mateusz Zweglinski (194-94) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Dawid Golus (187-99) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rosa III Radom. Rosa III Radom's coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shmoolky W-wa will face Stal SW (#5) in Stalowa Wola in the next round. Rosa III Radom will play on the road against Ostrow Mazow. in Ostrow Mazowiecki and hope to win that game.
