Everything went according to plan when Kumamoto V. (3-1) defeated Dragonflies (3-1) in Hiroshima 54-49 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 28-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kumamoto V. outrebounded Dragonflies 46-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Cameron Ridley (206-93, college: Texas) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Seiji Ikaruga (185-94) added 8 points and 5 assists in the effort for Dragonflies. Dragonflies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
