Very predictable result when third ranked Waregem (4-1) smashed at home 8th ranked Giants B (1-2) 85-60 on Saturday. Waregem made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Swingman Brecht Guillemyn (192-87) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and forward Thomas Foucart (192-84) chipped in 16 points. Swingman Lander Kuijt (195-98) responded with 15 points and center Roby Rogiers (202-97, agency: Court Side) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Waregem maintains third place with 4-1 record behind leader Gembo BBC. Loser Giants B dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. Waregem will face bottom-ranked Ninane (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Giants B will play against Gent Hawks (#5) and hope to win that game.
