Regular Season Round 2: WKK Wroclaw - Kalisz 88-72

There was a surprise result when WKK Wroclaw (1-1) defeated at home Kalisz (0-1) 88-72 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-72. WKK Wroclaw dominated on the defensive end, holding Kalisz to just 2 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kalisz's 28. WKK Wroclaw forced 33 Kalisz turnovers. Point guard Jakub Kobel (184-98) scored 23 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Kamil Fiedukiewicz (188-98) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. WKK Wroclaw will face Miedzychod (#9) on the road in the next round. Kalisz will play against Gornik and hope to win that game.
