Shmoolky W-wa used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Stalowa Wola 84-69 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Shmoolky W-wa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Stal SW's 38. Shmoolky W-wa forced 20 Stal SW turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Stal SW was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Daniel Olszewski (200-94) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Mariusz Przygucki (197-91) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Shmoolky W-wa players scored in double figures. Point guard Rafal Partyka (184-79) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and Leszek Kaczmarski (190-94) scored 21 points. Stal SW's coach Robert Grzyb tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shmoolky W-wa will face Syntex Ksiezak (#5) in Lowicz in the next round. Stal SW will play at home against Ostrow Mazow. and hope to win that game.
