Regular Season Round 1: Olimpico 64 - Antiguo Boscos 39-63

Olimpico 64 was not able to use a home court advantage and was outleveled by the opponent from Zaragoza 63-39 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Antiguo Boscos. Olimpico 64 was better in fourth quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpico 64 to just 2 points in second quarter. Forward Beatriz Bollullo (181-93) stepped up and scored 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Eva Lacort (-89) chipped in 10 points. At the losing side power forward Katia Javier (182-93) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Esther Molinero (165-93) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Antiguo Boscos will face Promete (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Olimpico 64's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Distrito Olimpico.
