Mark defeated Visby Ladies in Kinna 67-60. Visby Ladies trailed by 22 points after 3 quarters before a 24-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 60-67 at the end of the game. Mark forced 21 Visby Ladies turnovers and outrebounded them 45-30 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Keyora Wharry (178-93, college: Colorado St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. International center Elin Ljunggren (185-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Mark's coach Robin Sandberg used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) produced 20 points and Canadian center Jose-Ann Johnson (193-93, college: Duquesne) added 13 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Visby Ladies will play next round against strong Alvik Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Mark will try to continue on its current victory against Norrkoping Dolphins on the road.
