Regular Season Round 4: Kagoshima - Kagawa FA 77-82

Kagawa FA has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Renova, where they defeated Kagoshima (1-3) 82-77 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 24-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kagawa FA forced 22 Kagoshima turnovers and had a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) who added 10 points during the contest. At the losing side Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American-Panamanian forward Tymell Murphy (196-90, college: FIU) scored 16 points. Five Kagoshima players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with Kagoshima and Tokyo Z. Kagawa FA will face league's second-placed Dragonflies in Hiroshima in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kagoshima will play on the road against Orange Vikings in Matsuyama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
