Regular Season Round 4: Shimane SM - Ehime OV 81-66

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Orange Vikings (0-4) were defeated on the road by top-ranked Shimane Magic (4-0) 81-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Orange Vikings was better in third quarter 26-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Shimane Magic won last quarter 24-11. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Jamaica-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) scored 17 points. Five Shimane Magic and four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. Shimane Magic have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser Orange Vikings still closes the standings with four games lost. Shimane Magic will face Kumamoto V. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Orange Vikings will play against Kagoshima and hope to get finally their first victory.
