Regular Season Round 4: SeaHorses - Nagoya DD 73-78

Another exciting game was played in Kariya between first ranked Diamond Dolphins and one of their biggest challengers Aishin Sea Horses where Diamond Dolphins (3-1) beat Aishin Sea Horses (2-2) on the road 78-73. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 25-16 run, which allowed them to win the game. Diamond Dolphins made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) added 8 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Aishin Sea Horses. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Diamond Dolphins have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-1 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Diamond Dolphins will play against league's second-placed Osaka Evessa at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aishin Sea Horses will play against Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
