Regular Season Round 4: Chiba Jets - Tochigi Brex 69-87

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Tochigi Brex (3-1) defeated on the road 5th ranked Chiba Jets (1-3) 87-69 on Sunday. Chiba Jets were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 36-13 charge of Tochigi Brex, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Chiba Jets' 32. Tochigi Brex forced 22 Chiba Jets turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tochigi Brex keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Chiba Jets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Tochigi Brex will face league's second-placed Sendai 89ers at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
