Regular Season Round 2: FoA - PeKa 78-63

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Peli-Karhut (1-1) on the court of Forssan Alku on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Forssan Alku 78-63. The game without a history. Forssan Alku led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forssan Alku outrebounded Peli-Karhut 54-38 including a 44-32 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Kiana Johnson (168-93, college: Virginia Union) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Ashley Clark (180-93, college: Tulsa) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Forssan Alku's coach Jari Marjamaki used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Almesha Jones (168-93, college: Morehead St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced 9 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Amanda Lassiter (186-79, college: Missouri) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Forssan Alku is looking forward to face Helmi Basket (#8) in Helsinki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Peli-Karhut will play at home against Espoo Team (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
