There was no surprise when Visby Ladies (0-3) were defeated at home by Alvik Basket (2-0) 75-65 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 40-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for point guard Klara Lundquist (171-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Shawnice Wilson (198-90, college: Miami, FL, agency: Merit Management Group) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian center Jose-Ann Johnson (193-93, college: Duquesne) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Alvik Basket will meet IK Eos (#6) in the next round. Visby Ladies will play against Telge (#9) and hope to get finally their first victory.
