Undefeated San Martin Corrientes (3-1) recorded its first loss in Concordia. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Estudiantes C. (3-3) 89-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Martin Corrientes. San Martin Corrientes was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Cuba center Javier Justiz (205-92, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Estudiantes C.'s coach Hernan Laginestra allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Inception Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Lucas Faggiano (189-89, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 19 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for San Martin Corrientes. Estudiantes C. maintains sixth position in Norte with 3-3 record. San Martin Corrientes at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Echague and Instituto. Estudiantes C. will play against Atenas (#10) in Cordoba in the next round. San Martin Corrientes will play at home against Echague (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
