There was no surprise when Caceres Basket (0-2) was defeated on the road by Lleida Basquet (2-0) 78-66 on Friday. The game without a history. Lleida Basquet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Brazilian forward Leonardo Demetrio (203-94) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Garrett Nevels (188-92, college: Hawaii) chipped in 13 points. Lleida Basquet's coach Borja Comenge allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Croatia center Aleksandar Marcius (208-90, college: De Paul) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Sergio Perez (205-79) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lleida Basquet will meet Palencia Baloncesto (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Caceres Basket will play against Leche Rio Breogan (#1) and hope to win that game.
